First impression: the new LETBE Flygon 125 ABS – A small trail for the brave savage who won't be stopped by gravel (EICMA 2025)

A city for a week, a macadam road for the soul

Trail for driving exams B and A1, “mini Dakar” look, fuel consumption like a rafter. LETBE Flygon 125 ABS is exactly the little adventurer that takes you to work in the morning, and in the afternoon to a trail that looks “dotted” on Google Maps. We saw it at the EICMA 2025 fair.

If the name FLIGHTS it's not on your coffee plate yet, no big deal: it's coming to Europe under the auspices of Wellta Motors, and behind it stands the Chinese giant Haojin. This is important because it explains why the LETBE Flygon 125 already offers the things you usually look for in a 125cc trail bike accessory catalog (or in your dreams): two-channel Bosch ABS, TCS, keyless and even TFT with navigation. The brand has officially announced expansion and new models – yes, the Flygon is getting bigger brothers too – which shows that this is not a one-off project, but a serious foray into EU countries.

Heart: a single-cylinder 125 with real fuel consumption “I'm ashamed to write”

Under the hood of the LETBE Flygon 125 is an air-cooled 125 cc single-cylinder engine with Euro 5+ homologation. It develops 8 kW (10.7 hp) at 8,000 rpm and 10.8 Nm (8.0 lb‑ft) at 6,500 rpm. This is enough to drive around town without drama and to enjoy biting into gravel. The low promised consumption of 1.8 l/100 km (≈ 131 mpg US; ≈ 157 mpg UK) in combination with a 12‑liter tank means a “paper” autonomy of up to approximately 666 km. Transmission? Classic 5-speed – and rightly so: with the 125, simplicity is half the fun.

Safety and chassis: Bosch 10.3 ABS and common sense

The LETBE Flygon 125 has dual-channel ABS Bosch 10.3, a Ø 280 mm disc at the front, Ø 220 mm at the rear. The front upside-down fork offers 110 mm of travel, and there is an adjustable shock absorber at the rear. TCS (traction control) and a tilt sensor that turns off the engine when it falls (> 70°) are truly rare on a 125 - but here they are standard. Add 230 mm of ground clearance, a 130/80‑R18 front tire, and a 180/80‑R14 rear tire, and you get a trail stance with an urban “zen”.

Dimensions and ergonomics: low seat, high ego

Dimensions of 2,020 × 860 × 1,150 mm, a wheelbase of 1,365 mm and a seat at a friendly 780 mm mean that you can climb the Flygon without mountaineering. The dry weight of 150 kg is not “feathery”, but with the narrow build and lever handlebars you quickly forget about the number – what is important is that it feels light in the city, but surprisingly sturdy on gravel.

Technology: TFT, keyless and… compass

Don't be fooled by the price: the instrumentation is a color TFT with navigation, compass and “real-time” displays. Keyless with alarm and PKE (passive entry) makes everyday life easier; the tilt sensor is a silent guardian angel; the lighting is LED everywhere. These are goodies that you usually pay for separately in this class. “Versatilidad todoterreno con… ABS, control de tracción y pantalla TFT,” also sums up the official description. Colors? “Verde Táctico” or “Amarillo Fénix” – and neither is shy.

Price and warranty: this is where it gets awkward for the competition

On the official website for the LETBE Flygon 125 you will find a price of €3,290, while the retail website for the “trail” section shows €3,690, with a 35-liter pannier included. Selected offers mention a 5-year warranty, a year of insurance and even a 39-liter pannier – depending on the seller. Either way you look at it, this is a really rich package for a 125.

A little bit of numbers to keep the house peaceful

  • Engine: 125 cc, Euro 5+, air-cooled, 8 kW (10.7 hp) at 8,000 rpm, 10.8 Nm (8.0 lb‑ft) at 6,500 rpm.
  • Transmission: 5-speed.
  • Consumption/tank: 1.8 l/100 km; 12 l range approximately 666 km.
  • Brakes: ABS Bosch 10.3; front Ø 280 mm, rear Ø 220 mm.
  • Suspension: USD fork 110 mm, adjustable rear shock absorber.
  • Tires: 130/80‑R18 front; 180/80‑R14 rear.
  • Ground clearance: 230 mm; seat 780 mm.
  • Weight (dry): 150 kg.

“How fast is it going?”

The manufacturer and the main media sources for the LETBE Flygon 125 do not state an official top speed or acceleration. In practice, this is fair: this class is about agility and economical driving, not about a duel with the left lane. If you want a hundred “per hour” without gasping, a water-cooled 125 is more the right title; but the Flygon impresses with its equipment and endurance on liters of fuel.

Who should buy it?

If you like the idea of “two wheels, all terrain, low cost”, the LETBE Flygon 125 is the one Swiss tools in the garage. On weekdays, it devours curbs and city bumps, and on weekends, it nibbles on paved roads. The seat is friendly to shorter people, the ergonomics forgive beginner mistakes, and the “heating” of the credit card is minimal. And yes, in the color “Amarillo Fénix” it looks like an SUV in a fluorescent jacket – you won’t be bored.

My conclusion: LETBE Flygon 125 ABS

LETBE Flygon 125 ABS is one of those 125cc trails that makes you take a second look at the price and equipment. Dual-channel ABS Bosch 10.3, TCS, keyless, TFT with navigation, LED lighting, realistically low consumption of 1.8 l/100 km and a 12-liter tank – this is a package that moves the entry level up half a class. Yes, the engine is air-cooled and “only” 8 kW, but that’s also its charm: simple, economical and with enough character to put a smile on your face in the city and on dirt roads. A five-year warranty and a promotional “trunk” (35–39 L) in some offers are the icing on the cake. If I were Clarkson, I would say: “This is not a superbike – this is the best excuse to take a long, dusty ride home from work.” If you’re tempted, jump on a test ride and see if this is your little big trail.
