After less than four years on the market, the French have renewed their largest sedan and other versions of the Peugeot 508 model. The renewed model can be recognized by lights similar to those of the 2008 and 308, and three new Euro6 engines will also be offered. On the roads in the second half of September.
About half way through the market, the first cosmetic renovation also hit Peugeot's flagship, which received a refreshed exterior, additional comfort equipment and advanced technology, as well as renewed and cleaner engines, among which three new Euro6 engines.
From the front end, the redesigned 508 can be recognized by the new lights, which we first saw in 2008, and the changes also included a more accentuated bonnet, a smaller but more imposing bonnet and new LED lights and bumper. The sedan also got a new rear light graphic, and all versions got a new bumper.
Inside, the changes are even less noticeable; The central seven-inch screen now combines even more useful functions, which is thanks to the smaller number of switches interior more transparent, the materials and finish are also better. Innovations in the field of advanced technology include sensors for detecting the vehicle in the blind spot, reversing camera, and more options use of smart applications at the infotainment system itself.
The refreshed engine range contains three new engines that already meet the Euro6 emission class, and power units from 80 to 150 kW are available, as well as a hybrid version with only 95 grams of CO2 emissions.
The equipment packages will remain the same and equally rich, and sales should start in Europe in mid-September. Prices should not change significantly, buyers should at most get a little more equipment for a similar price.
