This fall, a new television treat is coming - a series Emily and Paris (2020), which is behind Darren Star, author of the Sex in the City series. She will appear in the main role Lily Collins, the daughter of the famous singer Phil Collins, who already showed her acting skills in the love movie At the End of the Rainbow (Love, Rosie, 2014). A new series to be aired on Netflix, follows the adventures of Emily, who moves from Chicago for her dream job to Paris, where great challenges await her: she must prove herself in a luxury French marketing agency and create new friendships, but of course hot romances await her as well.

But even before the series October 2 starts airing on Netflix, we can content ourselves with a new trailer in which we can already see glimpses of what is happening in the series. At first glance, many of you will draw parallels with the beloved series Sex in the City. Especially because Carrie's move to Paris was an important part of the cult series, because it was there that she realized what New York really meant to her. Nevertheless, the new series intends to celebrate the French city and put it at the center of the plot.

"Sex and the City was beautiful, but this series is also beautiful. It's very cinematic. Television is now very similar to cinema, and filming in Paris was very important, because we shot some really good shots there. "Emily in Paris is made more like a movie than a series," said the Old Man. Although the series is pegged to the romantic fantasy genre, it goes beyond that, adds Star. Many fans will also be impressed by the fact that she is in charge of the series' costume design Patricia Field, who also chose the costumes for Sex in the City and the film Devil in Prada, for which she was nominated for an Oscar in 2006.
