Want a new Bronco with two doors and a brutal V6 engine? Get your credit card ready – because the "cheapest" one costs more than a Tesla Model S. And no, it's not a Raptor.
When Ford revived the legendary Bronco in 2021, the SUV world paused for a moment and breathed a little nostalgia. Two body styles, a bunch of engines, an off-road pedigree – it was all there. Until today. In 2025, things are changing quite a bit: if you want a Bronco with two doors and a specific engine, you have exactly one choice. And that choice is called Bronco Strap Edition. Price? $78,225 (about 72,500 euros). Yes, seriously.
Less is more… more expensive
In 2024, you had six different two-door Bronco versions. In 2025, there are only three: Base, Badlands, and now Stroppe. The base model with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder and 300 horsepower (224 kW) will set you back $40,585 (around €37,600), which is fine… until you hear what the 2025 Ford Bronco Stroppe has to offer.
This edition is the only one two-door option with a more powerful 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that pushes out 330 hp (246 kW) and 562 Nm torque (415 lb-ft). With this engine, the Bronco becomes a serious off-road machine – or at least an extremely expensive style statement.
Ford Bronco Stroppe 2025: what do you get for 78 thousand?
The 2025 Ford Bronco Stroppe is named after iconic racer and tuner Bill Stroppe, who worked with Ford in the 1970s to develop the legendary Bronco race cars. The new edition brings some retro charm, especially in the form of graphic additions, a unique color scheme, special badging and of course – a powerful V6 engine.
The interior remains robust but modern, with all the goodies you'd expect in an SUV for almost 80 thousand: a 12-inch screen, SYNC4 infotainment, a premium sound system, advanced off-road assistance systems, and multiple driving modes (including the legendary "Baja" mode for raging through desert dunes).
This time, Ford has not forgotten about users who also use the Bronco for "real" off-road driving - that's why the Stroppe is equipped as standard with robust off-road tires, an electronic differential lock, reinforced bumpers and underbody protection.
Jeep Wrangler as an alternative? Maybe, but it's not the same
For comparison: The 2025 Jeep Wrangler in the two-door version comes in five flavors, from the entry-level Sport for 34,090 $ (around €31,500) to fairly well-equipped Rubicon X for 58,900 $ (€54,400). They all have a standard 3.6-liter V6 with 285 hp, which may not be as brutal as the 2025 Ford Bronco Stroppe, but it is still very capable.
Jeep offers the V6 option on all body styles, while Ford now limits the more powerful engine to the Stratos. So if you want a Bronco with a V6 and two doors, you're literally forced into the most expensive option.
On the other hand, Jeep doesn't offer anything that really rivals the Bronco Raptor or Stroppe in terms of design iconicity and historical weight.
Ford Bronco Stroppe 2025: from entry-level hipster to premium SUV
When the Bronco hit the market in 2021, the base price was 28.500 $Today the admission price is more than 40.000 $, while the Raptor version starts at almost 93.000 $Prices exploded like a turbocharger in the Baja desert.
But it's no longer just a "retro" SUV for hipsters in bucket hats. The Bronco has become a cult - and Ford knows it.
Conclusion: The love of two doors has its price
The Bronco Stroppe Edition 2025 is actually an automotive paradox: the most “basic” option if you want a V6 and two-door hatchback, but also the most expensive. You get a lot – a powerful engine, exclusive looks, a historical touch and an off-road beast that would easily survive the apocalypse. But the price? The price hurts. And here's the question: are you willing to pay almost 80,000 $ for something that was once a “people's SUV”?
Footnote: All prices listed are in US dollars ($), as The Bronco Stroppe Edition will not be available on the European marketThe model is exclusively for the US, so European enthusiasts will have to find other ways – or other dreams. Or some “special” import through connections.
For true enthusiasts and collectors, it is Ford Bronco Straps 2025 Edition is a ticket to an exclusive club. For the rest, it's another reminder that in the automotive world, nostalgia and power no longer come cheap.
