The Ford E-Transit Custom was presented already in May, but at that time no figures were known about its performance. Now these are also official, and we can expect 1,100 kilograms of load capacity and 2,000 kilograms of pulling power.
Ford E-Transit Custom will offer round ones in its basic version 100 kW power (136 horsepower), and a more powerful version 160 kW, respectively 217 horsepower. Both versions will be available 415 newton meters of torque. So as far as power is concerned, the electric version of the Tranzit will be exactly equivalent to the one powered by a diesel engine.
Battery with capacity 74 kWh has enough energy to 380 kilometers a long way. The battery can be charged with a power of up to 125 kW, but we need 41 minutes, to fill it up from 15 to 80%. In the case of filling with 11 kW of power, will be needed almost 8 hours charging. E-Transit also offers power supply for external electronic devices up to 2.3 kW powers. The electric delivery van can boast, among other things, an independent rear suspension, a lower floor and, for the 10%, a better drag coefficient (compared to the Ford Transit Custom).
The Ford E-Transit Custom will be available with a single or double cab, two different heights and two different wheelbases. We can add honey to it 5,8 and 9 cubic meters of cargo and objects up to 3.45 meters. The open side sliding doors offer the widest opening in the segment. Production of the electric Custom will begin in in the fall of 2023.
