November 19, 2015 will be a preview of the new choregie project at SNG Maribor Karmine Šilec: Fortune will not be a match for Fauvel! It is a play in which the central character is the greedy donkey Fauvel, who symbolizes everything that is bad in people: human egoism, hedonism, cowardice, stinginess, fickleness, sneakiness, moral rot and corruption. The play is based on Gothic allegorical poems, which laughs at a society in which corruption, sin and despotic rule reigned. The subject of the poem that was written more than 700 years ago, unfortunately sounds very familiar to us even today.
