In a world where technological innovation is irresistibly transforming every corner of our lives, Porsche and Frauscher have joined forces to create a boat - the Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air - that not only sails on water, but also on the waves of the future. Introducing the Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air, an electric watercraft that promises to set new standards in the nautical world with every mile on the water.
Under the fascinating collaboration between the automotive giant Porsche and Austrian "shipbuilders" Frauscher an electric sports boat was born Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air. This exclusive model was presented in the first week of October 2023, when the first test drives were also organized on the romantic Italian Lake Garda. The boat is expected to make its official debut in January 2024 at the prestigious Boot Fair in Düsseldorf, Germany.
It is at the heart of this innovative boat electric drivetrain, powered by a capacity lithium-ion battery 100 kWh and electric motors from the upcoming model Porsche Macan SUV. This powertrain gives the boat an incredible power of up to 600 horsepower, which translates to a top speed of 46 knots (53 mph) on the water. The boat has a cruising range of 28 miles at an optimum speed of 22 knots (25 mph), which means it will be able to sail for about an hour before recharging. Interestingly, the boat can be charged at fast DC chargers, and charging can also be done on alternating current (AC).
In the coming year, the production of an exclusive "First Edition", which will include 25 units of boats, each with a price starting at 561,700 euros without tax. Orders are already underway and deliveries are expected to begin next year.
