Fashion Week Aqufresh: Fresh wind in the Young@Squat team

At Squat they invited each other this year a new generation of talented designers. It was a great honor Barbaro Krmelj, Matica Velerja, Maja Leskovšek, Sofijo Urumović, Barbara Vrbančič and Sara Valenci. With their own unique design visions and above standard presentation of his master's collections impressed the Squats, who took them under their mentorship. Young@Squat is a self-initiative fashion platform Squat, founded by two renowned designers Nataša Peršuh and Zoran Garevski. Squat is a refuge that offers young and talented people a safe haven, a place where everything is possible and definitely needs support, which is important. By being accepted among the Squatovci, young up-and-coming designers are given the opportunity to present and concretely work on various projects with help and mentoring. established Slovenian designers.

On the first day of the Slovenian fashion week Fashion Week Aquafresh young hopefuls presented the "Read My Lips" collection. With the language of design, they tried to communicate personal narratives and visions. When designing, they asked themselves: "Who are we?", "Does me equal my work?". In this type of design, the cut of the garment becomes self portrait. Like the strongest detail they pointed out lips, which came to its greatest expression in the dress that opened the magazine. They also impressed us precise laser cuts, unusual construction and always pleasing layering. Young artists invested in a common fashion story their individual visions, which they successfully and with a touch of humor woven into an interesting youthful ensemble, which invites people to pay attention, to observe.
