From London to New York in an hour?

Supersonic aircraft are being developed at supersonic speeds. They promise that the chosen ones - those with very fat wallets - will travel from New York to London in just one hour in a few years!

A Boston company Spike Aerospace presented plans for development Spike S-512. It is a supersonic private jet with 12 to 18 seats, created for commercial use, capable of flying the distance from London to New York in less than four hours. Which is half as much as classic commercial airplanes fly. Two rather large obstacles currently stand in the way of supersonic flights and high-flying designs. The first is the US administration, which prohibits supersonic flights over their territory, and the second is the enormous cost of a private jet, which reaches up to eighty million dollars. But the developers have devoted many years to these planes and believe that the planes will be able to take off by 2018.

According to some forecasts, we will be able to fly with supersonic aircraft already this decade.

Spike Aerospace, however, is far from the only one developing high-flying designs. Company Aerion Corporation of Nevada also unveiled plans for its private jet, which is expected to carry its first passengers at the end of this decade. The company certainly has the most optimistic and fastest flying planes HyperMach Aerospace ltd. They predict that they will enter the game in the twenties of this century and then the revolution will happen. The distance between London and Sydney will be covered in an afternoon, and between London and New York in an hour!

The journey from London to New York will soon take just one hour.
