Casio G-SHOCK combines the legendary durability of its watches with the artistic legacy of samurai blades with the new G-SHOCK MR-G "Kurogane-Iro" series. The result is two exceptional watches in blue-green DLC-treated titanium that combine Japanese tradition with futuristic design and advanced technology.
G-SHOCK is famous for its watch that can survive almost anything. However, Casio with the series G-SHOCK MR-G “Kurogane-Iro” demonstrates not only durability, but also a sense of artistic detail and respect for cultural heritage. The two new models, the MRG-B2000BG-3A and MRG-B2000RG-3A, draw inspiration from the forging technique of Japanese samurai blades, where the iron is heated to a distinctive blue-green color called “kurogane-iro”.
Two models, one philosophy – G-SHOCK MR-G
MRG-B2000BG-3A – the perfect titanium classic
This version is made entirely of titanium, covered with a special green DLC coating that gives the watch an almost mystical look. Details such as the gold-plated screws and crown subtly highlight the heritage of samurai armor.
MRG-B2000RG-3A – a modern interpretation of samurai protection
The second model offers an interesting alternative with a fluoro-rubber strap adorned with the traditional Japanese “bishamon kikko” pattern, a symbol of long life and protection. The special recrystallization of titanium on the bezel creates a visual effect reminiscent of the crystalline structure of samurai blades.
Art on the dial – blade precision – G-SHOCK MR-G
The dials on both G-SHOCK MR-G watches are a true masterpiece. The hands and indexes are shaped like delicate blade lines, crafted using Casio’s nano-technology, which allows for precision similar to the sharpness of samurai swords. The dial border has a texture reminiscent of traditional Japanese screens, further reinforcing the impression of authentic heritage.
No compromises on technology
Despite its exceptional design, G-SHOCK remains synonymous with technological robustness. Both watches are powered by Casio's 5652 solar quartz module, which enables time synchronization via radio signal (Multiband 6), Bluetooth connectivity, 200-meter water resistance and shock protection, which is typical of all watches from this manufacturer.
