Solar power plant reduces dependence on the very likely future rising costs of electricity supply and network fees and ensures a safe and environmentally friendly supply of electricity. Package with battery storage, which Merkur offers in cooperation with the Slovenian company NGEN, ensures uninterrupted power supply even during power grid outages, the most affordable electricity supply on the market and a significantly greater degree of independence in electricity supply than in the case of an installed solar power plant alone.

The goals that we Europeans have set for ourselves in the field of sustainable energy supply, reduction of the carbon footprint and efficient use of energy are ambitious. It is a broader social agreement in which we must all participate. The investment is recouped through savings

By carrying out their own projects, such as the installation of solar power plants, the installation of battery storage systems, the replacement of lighting with more energy-efficient ones, the installation of electric charging stations in front of Merkur's shopping centers and the smart energy management of their own properties, they want to be an example in Merkur and thereby contribute to the first of the stones in the mosaic. .

Investment in a solar power plant (SE) is paid back through savings in 7 to 10 years. The lifespan of SE is 25-30 years. Warranties for SE are 12 years and more. At Merkur, they offer affordable financing in installments and various forms of installment repayment with a low interest rate and a repayment term of up to 20 years. In cooperation with our partner, the Slovenian company NGEN, all customers of the Powerwall battery pack, they also help in the supply of electricity at a stimulating price, as all storage units are connected to a virtual platform of battery storage units with the aim of providing power system stabilization services. In return, the user receives up to 2,000 kWh of electricity at a price of only EUR 0.01/kWh + VAT. When supplying this amount of energy, he also does not pay a network fee related to the supply of energy - that is, almost free of charge. At heat pumps and the investment is recouped through savings in less than 5 years. The lifetime of the heat pump is 15-20 years, with manufacturers' guarantees of up to 5 years. The investment in a combination of both, i.e. SE and heat pump, is recouped through savings in 5-7 years.
