In 2016, the meanest Golf in the history of the popular Volkswagen brand will hit the roads and enter showrooms near you. It delivers 420 horsepower (309 kW), as much as 450 Nm of torque and power transmission to all 4 wheels. Yeah... GTIs definitely make their pants shake.
We all still remember the model Golf VR6 and similar beasts from the past. But the brand's current plans are going in the direction of sending a furious one to the market in 2016 R400 or judging by the horsepower announced recently, possibly as much as R420.
In any case, we will learn more about this almost supercar in September as part of the Frankfurt Motor Show. According to the first information, it should R400 cost less than 50.000 euros and is not supposed to be just a limited collector's series.
