Ocean Voung – Time is a Mother

We are looking forward to the poetry collection of Ocean Vuong, a young American-Vietnamese poet. The second collection of poems deals with the search for meaning and identity after the shocking death of Vuong's mother and a personal look at the subject of grief. In the collection, through a series of described memories, the young author pursues the issue of personal loss, the importance of family and the importance of happiness in general.

Hanya Yanagihar - To Paradise

Hawaiian author Hanya Yanagihara surprised literary critics in 2015 with her novel A Little Life, which was declared a future classic of the new generation in the same year. Even today, it is one of the most beautiful novels of many readers. After a few years, Yanagihara returns with a new novel – In Paradise. An extraordinarily complex and opulent novel spanning three centuries and three versions of American life and destiny through a saga of family, love, political systems and their influence, and the fate that awaits them. The book intertwines stories from different eras, showing how people lived freely and in different epidemics.

Nina De Gramont - The Christie Affair

It is a novel designed as a reinterpretation of the 11-day disappearance of cult author Agatha Christie. In the novel, the author immerses us in the luxurious world of London in the 1920s, and everything begins from the perspective of Miss Nan O'Dea, a fictional character based on a real person. In the 1920s, she joined the circle of people in which Agatha Christie and her husband Archie moved. Nan thus becomes her husband's mistress. In order to reveal to us how Agatha's disappearance is connected with Archie and his lover, the author takes us many years earlier to Ireland, where it all began.

Emma Straub - This Time Tomorrow

The book This Time Tomorrow follows Alice, a 40-year-old woman who is relatively satisfied with her life. He lives with his father, whose health is failing, and she is increasingly worried about him. One morning she wakes up to find herself in the year she celebrated her sixteenth birthday. She was surprised by the sight of her father, who was still full of life at that time. The events she witnesses change her view of the present again, but the question is, does it remain beautiful?

Ali Smith – Companion Piece

Scottish writer Ali Smith is one of the most acclaimed authors of recent years with her Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer tetralogy, published between 2016 and 2020. With novels that stand out for their strikingly lyrical prose and examinations of current social conditions, Smith has become one of the most interesting literary voices of his generation.
