The drivers, who will cross three continents and 19 countries, will donate 20 cents for every kilometer traveled to African children, and the Goodyear company will double the amount donated.
Yesterday, September 21, the team embarked on a journey of epic proportions Challenge 4 with the German record holder Rainer Zietlow at the helm, who intends to set a new world record and v cover a 17,752 kilometer long journey in ten days. A journey they named "from cape to cape", it started on North Cape (Nordkapp) in Norway and will end at Cape Agulhas in South Africa, and the team will cross three continents and 19 countries. The three-man team will drive 24 hours a day, stopping only to fill up the tank, with team members rotating at the wheel every five hours.
He also has a project charitable nature. For every kilometer driven, the team will donate 20 euro cents to "SOS Children's Villages" in Zambia and Sudan, and the Goodyear company, which will also equip the car with suitable tires, will double the final proceeds. As part of the 'SOS Children's Village' charity campaign, orphans and abandoned children are provided with a warm environment in which they can grow up safely and plan their future.
