In recent months, there have been rumors that Apple will raise prices again with the new generation of iPhone 17. However, a recent report from JPMorgan brings slightly more optimistic news - at least for the US market.
He will feel the most changes iPhone 17 Pro, which will indeed be more expensive by 100 dollars / comparable euros, but in return will basically bring 256 GB of space. Because 16 Dec cost the same amount with the same memory, it's really a cosmetic difference - as if Apple would like to say: "Look, we didn't increase the price, we just doubled the space."
Basic iPhone 17 will remain at the same $799, while the new 17 Air will cost the same as the 16 Plus ($899) or at worst $50 more. If the latter happens, Apple will likely argue that developing such a thin device cost almost as much as building a space rocket.
The biggest sibling, the 17 Pro Max, remains untouched – the price starts at $1,199 for 256GB.
For now, all of this only applies to the US. How will it be Apple How Apple will price the iPhone 17 series in Europe and elsewhere remains an open question. We'll get the final answers very soon, as the big event where the iPhone 17 series will be unveiled is scheduled for September 9th.
