X, formerly known as Twitter, brings a breath of fresh air to the world of social networking. Hide your likes and express yourself in your own way. In a digital age where every like is scrutinized, X brings a solution for all fashion icons and stars who want a little more privacy.
Ever wanted to keep your likes a secret? Well, Elon Musk and the developers at Twitter have listened to your prayers (and your wallet). Paid users on X now have the option to hide the likes tab. But, ironically, if you go for this option, you're basically letting everyone know that you paid for it. A bit like buying a Ferrari and never driving it around town.
Until now, likes were public and anyone could go to your profile and see what you liked. But Musk added another incentive for paid users to like posts without worrying about who will see them. Imagine the freedom to like without judgement!
And if you think that's all, you're wrong. X has started allowing subscribers to hide their verification code. Probably to avoid some memes. But if you choose to hide your likes tab, you're essentially admitting that you've paid for the subscription.
On Threads, users can see their liked posts in the "Your Likes" tab in the settings, which are private. While likes are private on Bluesky's app and website, the platform says likes are public and apps using the Bluesky API can choose to display a likes tab on a profile.
X, once known as Twitter, is introducing a revolutionary feature for its premium users: hiding likes. And the price? Monthly subscription with Elon Musk.

X, the app we once knew as Twitter, just got a little more private. Well, at least for those willing to pay. Premium users can now hide their likes through their profile settings. And no, this is not a joke. For $8 a month, you can hide your likes and avoid potential embarrassment. Remember when Republican Senator Ted Cruz liked a pornographic tweet? Well, such mistakes are now a thing of the past. All you have to do is pay Musk a few bucks and like to your heart's content.
