House of the sea in Vienna with a glass tunnel and sharks

A ten-meter-long glass tunnel has been opened in Vienna's House of the Sea aquarium, where visitors will be able to look into the eyes of sharks and many other fish from the Atlantic Ocean.

With a volume of half a million liters, House of the sea in Vienna boasts of the largest marine aquarium in Austria. Now they have built another ten-meter one in it glass tunnel, which leads through the aquarium and in which visitors can observe the underwater world from all angles. Such a tunnel is said to be unique in the world, as it is not attached to the ground, so the fish can be observed even underfoot.

From now on you can literally let's walk through the sea and we admire the underwater world of the Atlantic. More than a thousand fish, such as Sharks, barnacles, perch and sea doves, swims from all sides, and will gradually join them in the coming months additional animals.
House of the sea is located in a former anti-aircraft tower from World War II. On 5 thousand square meters of total area on 11 floors, it is possible to see 10 thousand animals – from turtles, stingrays, crocodiles, lizards of all kinds, snakes, freshwater and saltwater fish and monkeys to birds, bats and skunks.
