Laurel tea
Ingredients
- 2 dry or 4 fresh bay leaves
- 250 ml of water
- honey (optional)
Directions
- Use fresh or dried bay leaves.
- Crush them before adding them to water to soften their taste. For fresh leaves, use twice as much as for dried leaves.
- Boil 250 ml of water. Add bay leaves (about two per 125ml of water) to boiling water and let sit for at least 5 minutes.
- Cover the pot to retain the essential oils.
- After steeping, strain the tea to remove the bay leaves.
- Sweeteners such as honey, sugar or stevia can be added to taste. Some people also like to squeeze a fresh lemon for extra flavor.
