Many manufacturers are a bit late with electrification. This is also why Honda borrowed the platform from the Chevrolet Blazer. And quickly announced its first electric SUV.
The Honda Prologue is getting closer to production and Honda is revealing the full exterior and interior. Don't get too excited about the powertrain and the important specs, as these days it largely depends on the design. This is also why Honda is not very special here and, like many manufacturers, decided to use a common platform. So Honda shows off a new design language, which it calls "Neo-Rugged", as it is supposed to be technologically advanced, but at the same time ready for anything. Photos of the range-topping model are in a special new "North Shore Pearl" color that Honda says will be exclusive to the Prologue. It features things like a panoramic sunroof, 21-inch wheels, and new “Honda” badging on the rear. Honda tells us that the front fascia was inspired by the cute Honda e. To us, the Honda Prologue seems very similar to some English SUV - the well-known and accepted Range Rover Evoque.
The interior feels familiar to us when it comes to Hondas, with a freestanding 11.3-inch touchscreen that runs Honda's infotainment software, loads of knobs and buttons, and general simplicity. Its 11-inch instrument panel is fully digital and although it also protrudes above the dashboard, it is nicely integrated and tucked into it and works in harmony with the overall design. Honda hasn't shown the space behind the rear seats in its photos, but claims the Prologue will have plenty of space for both passengers and your cargo in the boot.
It is not yet known whether the vehicle will also be available in Europe.
