Lucky bamboo is an extremely adaptable plant that does not require much care.

Basic tips for proper maintenance

Succeeds in indirect light. Direct sunlight can damage the leaves, so it is recommended to place it in a bright place without direct sunlight, for example behind a curtain or on a north window. Light allows it to grow healthy and strong, but excessive light can cause leaf scorch.

It can grow in glass vase with water and pebbles or in well-drained humus soil. If you grow it in water, the water should always be clean and the pebbles should be washed regularly. Red roots are a sign of a healthy plant. Growing in water is a popular method, as it allows easier monitoring of the condition of the roots and prevents overwatering.

Use distilled or bottled water, as bamboo does not tolerate chlorine in tap water. If you must use tap water, let it sit for at least 24 hours to allow the chlorine to evaporate. Change the water regularly, at least once a week, to prevent the growth of bacteria and mold that could damage the roots.

Does not tolerate extreme temperatures. The ideal room temperature is between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius. High humidity is favorable for it, so do not place it near heaters, air conditioners or humid windows. Air humidity affects the health of the plant, so it is important to maintain an appropriate level of humidity in the room.

Also does not like dry air. If the air in the room is too dry, you can occasionally spray the leaves with distilled water. Dry air can cause the leaves to dry out and reduce the vitality of the plant.

Common bamboo problems

Yellow leaves are usually the result of excessive fertilization or too much direct light. Remove the yellow leaves and move the plant to a less bright place. Yellow leaves are a sign that the plant is under stress and needs environmental adaptation.

Brown leaves they usually mean that the water is dirty or the air in the room is too dry. Clean the water and spray the leaves with distilled water. Brown leaves can also signal an infection or nutrient deficiency, so it's important to act quickly.

Lucky bamboo is more than just a plant; it is a symbol of happiness, health, love and prosperity. With proper care and proper placement in the room, you can improve energy at home and attract positive changes into your life.
