Who does not know the romantic comedy How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days) from 2003? In the classic, Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey starred as lovers Andie Anderson and Benjamin Barry. Now the comedy is about to get a modern version.
We follow in the film Andie Anderson (Kate Hudson), a columnist for Composure magazine, who agrees with her boss to write a story where she dates a guy for 10 days and then leaves him. At the same time Benjamin Barry (Matthew McConaughey), employed in an advertising agency, bets that he can make a woman fall in love with him in 10 days.
It was recently announced that the cult classic will be getting modern version. This is supposed to be written by a comedian Guy Branum, and the online platform will take care of the production Quibi. The date when the new version will be available is not yet known, nor is it known whether we will be able to see the old stars of the romantic comedy.
We were all certain you could not make a good romantic comedy anymore because print media is dead and RomCom ladies have to work at magazines, but against the tides of history, Quibi & Paramount have agreed to let me re-write "How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days" https://t.co/A2YcnKqeCg pic.twitter.com/wnsAj2a24E

So how will the new version of the comedy How to get rid of a guy in 10 days different from the old one? Will Andie still work as a magazine columnist or will she be a blogger now? According to a press release, a film will follow “young online columnists and 'lusty' advertising executives who must prove once and for all that they are capable of being monogamous. But they soon discover that maintaining a relationship is more difficult than Andie Anderson made it out to be!”
