How is the best car in the world made? Croatian Rimac C_Two

The Rimac C_Two promises a top speed of 412 km/h, a 0 - 62 mph (100 km/h) acceleration time of 1.9 seconds and a 0 - 161 km/h (100 mph) acceleration time of 4.3 seconds. These outstanding figures were set as the ambitious goals of the Rimac team with the first announcement of the C_Two in 2018, and thanks to extensive development and testing of the car, the engineers are confident that the goals will be met in the final product.

Rimac Automobiles has unveiled the next stage in the development of the C_Two electric super sports car. At the recently opened Rimac production facility in Veliki Trgovišće, Croatia, the line will accelerate the production of C_Two prototypes required for final validation and testing required for worldwide homologation.

Assembling each of the C_Two car will take approx five weeks, which will cut production time in half compared to the off-the-line static production principle used by some other supercar manufacturers. The new full-capacity process will allow four vehicles to be built per month.

More will follow after them ten cars ahead of the series, most of which will be produced this year. The whole process homologation no shortcuts, from the first concepts, through full prototypes to cars on the road, is a three-year process. With the introduction of a new production line, it will Rimac Cars deliver cars to buyers in 2021, unlike the original plan before the COVID-19 crisis, which called for deliveries in 2020. The final design and real name of the car will be revealed later this year.
