An eye-catching start: We have entered an era where electric cars are taking over an ever-increasing share of the automotive world. But even though electric cars are known for their silence, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N Time Attack Spec at Pikes Peak made outside noise part of its character. And not just because of speed!

When it comes to looks, it is Hyundai Ioniq 5 N Time Attack Spec a real feast for the eyes. With an aggressive aero kit that includes a massive spoiler, side skirts and fender flares, this electric beast effortlessly differentiates itself from the stock model. Under the fenders, we find 18-inch forged wheels with Yokohama slick tires, supported by six-piston brakes at the front and four-piston brakes at the rear. Adjustable suspension with the possibility of height and camber adjustment ensures optimal cornering control.

Horsepower and excess

Although electric cars are often associated with the idea of quiet, environmentally friendly transportation, Hyundai proves with this model that electric can also mean power and performance. With an additional 37 horsepower from the rear engine in overboost mode, this beauty boasts a total output of 678 horsepower (505 kW). All components are still stock, which means that Hyundai is not ruling out the possibility of sending this beast on the road in the future.

A loud electric racer

One of the most interesting additions is certainly the improved external speakers that can produce up to 120 decibels of sound. With the help of the N Active Sound+ system, Hyundai makes this electric racer sound like a real beast. This is not only due to safety requirements that dictate that electric cars must produce sound, but also to improve driver feedback. And, of course, to impress the audience.

Hyundai is on Pikes Peak also brought two serial models of the Ioniq 5 N, which are equipped only with safety equipment, such as safety cages and other competition equipment. This means that Hyundai has serious intentions of breaking records with production vehicles, while the Time Attack Spec sets new performance standards for electric SUVs/crossovers.

Electric Ascent in cooperation with Gran Turismo

For all video game fans, Hyundai is also preparing a virtual version of the hill climb action in GT7 in collaboration with Gran Turismo. This will surely be an additional reason for all enthusiasts to try this adrenaline experience.

“We're investing in the future of motorsports with our first electric race car for Pikes Peak and our collaboration with Gran Turismo,” said Till Wartenberg, vice president and head of the N brand at Hyundai. "Passion for motorsport remains at the core of our Hyundai N brand as we enter the future."

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N Time Attack Spec proves that electric cars are not only quiet and environmentally friendly, but also able to exceed expectations in terms of performance and sound. With 678 horsepower, improved aerodynamics and external speakers that scream 120 decibels, this car is proof that an electric future can also mean a loud, fast and exciting ride. Although Pikes Peak's goal is primarily to break records, it is clear that Hyundai proves with each racing project that motorsport is the heart and soul of their brand. Who would have thought that the future of electric cars would be so loud and exciting?
