It has been renewed on the electric SUV Ioniq 5, which will soon also hit our roads. The Motional project brought together Hyundai, which took care of the financial side of the project, and Aptiv, which contributed programming support and its experience gained from managing a fleet of autonomous taxis in Las Vegas. Only they drive autonomously, but despite everything, they still have a driver behind the wheel to control the operation of the system and intervene when only necessary. Robotaxi will thus be a kind of upgrade of the mentioned project, and the profession of the classic "taxi driver" will soon become a thing of the past.

This will ensure it 360˚ overview to the surroundings of the car in the form of high-resolution images and ultra-long object detection. With the help of modern technology, autonomous and, above all, safe movement in the everyday environment will be ensured. The Hyundai Robotaxi will be equipped with an advanced computer system that will be able to automatically to learn new things. They based the program on a huge amount of data collected in the real world, in real circumstances, and thus achieved that Robotaxi will be able to safely make its way through demanding and complex traffic situations.
