Hyundai kicked up the dust with the IONIQ 5 XRT – literally. As if the futuristic design and advanced electrical capabilities were not enough, it has now been equipped for adventures on less well-maintained roads. But don't worry, don't expect to be jumping over canyons. The Hyundai XRT brings a more subtle but noticeable upgrade, aimed at those who want to test the terrain without going overboard.

The IONIQ 5 XRT is equipped with dual motors and four-wheel drive (AWD). This means that both axles are ready to go when the terrain gets a little more challenging. But don't worry, the 84 kWh battery will provide enough power for carefree driving, even with sharper bends on the road or smaller climbs. In terms of specifications, the XRT brings everything you love about the IONIQ 5 – great aerodynamics, efficient energy consumption and of course that “light ride” feeling.

The IONIQ 5 XRT sits on special 18-inch black wheels wrapped in rugged off-road tires. This gives it that real off-road look, which is also supported by the new front and rear bumpers. And to top it all off, there's also a digital camouflage graphic on the body that's sure to catch the eye.

The IONIQ 5 XRT maintains its core electric performance with an 84 kWh battery, allowing for an impressive range of around 480 km (298 miles) in the combined cycle. Charging? Thanks to a new connection to the Tesla Supercharger network across North America, the IONIQ 5 now supports NACS charging. This means that you can charge up to 80 % batteries in less than 20 minutes with fast charging up to 240 kW.

Although this electric SUV is designed for city driving, those who choose to go on trips to nature will easily find charging stations throughout the continent.

Who is this car for?

The IONIQ 5 XRT is clearly intended for those who like to escape from the city, but want to maintain a stylish appearance and reliability over long distances. It is not designed for extreme terrain, such as Jeep Wrangler, however, is an excellent choice for those who often find themselves on more rugged routes and do not want to sacrifice the modern comfort of an electric SUV.
