There are many ways to get to Šmarna gora, but the easiest way is to cross the bridge over the Sava in Tacno and park in the large, well-maintained parking lot across the street. Go past the Grad inn and then just uphill. It is a good half hour's walk to the top, but slower people and children can do it in an hour. At the top, you will be rewarded with a wonderful view of Ljubljana, the Kamniška Alps, and even Triglav can be seen in good weather...
