Together with Zandra Rhodes, IKEA decided to explore how its world of bold patterns and vibrant colors translates into the home environment. As a result of the collaboration, IKEA is launching the KARISMATISK collection, synonymous with bold self-expression in your own home. The collection includes 26 expressive products that encourage all color lovers: "be fearless, be beautiful, be you!" The KARISMATISK collection will be available in IKEA stores worldwide from September 2021.
Iconic designer Zandra Rhodes is known for her fearless and strong colors and has been one of the leading designers in the world of fashion and textiles for more than five decades. Under her guidance and inspiration and fearless approach to life and style, IKEA explored the world of strong colors and patterns to add character and charisma to the home. This joint work and research has led to a deeper understanding of different prints and colors as a powerful tool for expressing personality, talent and local culture, as well as their psychological effect on people and spaces.
Similar to Zandra is the collection loud, proud and strongly expressive. With the new collection, you will place Zandra's confidence and charisma in your home and show your personality. Collection KARISMATISK encourages you to have fun while decorating your home, and at the same time, optimism radiates from every room. Combine different cushions, rugs and other textile products of your choice, place flower vases together or individually, add just a touch of color or choose a strong pattern.
Collection KARISMATISK not only features a beautiful design, but also functionality. Together with Zandra, IKEA used the five principles of democratic design (form, function, quality, sustainability and affordability) to create playful solutions for everyday needs at affordable prices. Although Zandra's creations are guided by brilliant paintings and colors, the design solutions are always practical as well. Where possible, they also used in the collection recycled materials with the awareness "less is more".
