It's easy to fall into the trap of wanting to be like everyone else. But why would you be someone else? Is being someone else really so nice?
When you feel that something is missing in you, you simply copy the lifestyle of another person. You may feel that others have everything in abundance. Happiness, confidence, emotional peace.
But insecurity about aspects of your personality and self-image arose because you were not true to yourself. You don't dare to show that you are different, that you dare to stand out from the crowd.
Don't be afraid. The world needs your laugh and smile. More shades of your personality – your clumsiness, your silliness, your playfulness. The world needs to see more fearlessness and more of you because your heart and mind are where you are.
If you look at yourself, you will see a mosaic in which each part has a role to play. The most important thing is that it has each piece its own beauty and its own intricacies. The picture would not be complete without a unique piece of mosaic. They wouldn't be perfect.
Indeed, the mosaic may represent a somewhat accurate capture of human nature. We cultivate identities and self-images based on the bigger picture. But it's wrong to try to stick to certain identities (styles, preferences, or qualities that you find attractive in others) and thus end up still being unsure of who you really are.
Who should you be at the end of the day?
Be yourself. Be someone who doesn't feel the need to impress others. Be someone who has a heart of pure gold.
Be someone who is comfortable in your own skin and doesn't mind being vulnerable. Someone who doesn't find it difficult to be who he is and doesn't want to be someone else.
Be unique. Be honest with yourself. Don't deny your feelings. You feel it. Feel it. There is nothing wrong with not being like the others, if you don't blend in with the crowd. Be who you are - you.
