Humans deal with (our) future all the time. What will we study, where will we go on vacation, what will we wear to work the next morning, what will our financial situation be next year and on and on. Let's leave such big questions for another time. We have something more fun for you as far as the future goes. What if we told you that you could send yourself a text that you won't receive until 25 years from now?
Incubate is an application through which you can send an SMS today, wait 25 years and voila, read your mind from a quarter of a century ago.
The idea came to Michael McCluney when his friend, a father of triplets, expressed his desire to show videos of his children growing up when they grow up, but was afraid to store them somewhere. With the app, the friend was now able to send the recordings to the future, where they will surely be waiting for him.
Then McCluney developed something else for the newlyweds, a function Incubate My Wedding, with which married couples can also send recordings of their wedding into the future, so that they can, hopefully, watch them together then.
He also added the Future Booth, a 55-inch device in the shape of an iPad that will be able to take snappy photos or videos at the wedding and send them into the future.
The basic version of Incubate is available for free, but the add-on for wedding celebrations will cost you 250 euros.
