58. Kurentovanje will turn Ptuj into the Slovenian ethnographic capital between February 2 and 13. During the 11 days of the international carnival festival, more than 70 events will take place, together with more than 100 events in the vicinity of Ptuj. Around 6,000 characters and masks will be presented at the central parades and displays.
The climax Curing, when a thousand-strong crowd floods the streets and squares of Ptuj in a carnival procession carnival masks and traditional characters, is undoubtedly an event that we must attend at least once in our lives. The original carnival groups and many others provide a very special atmosphere satirical characters, who will walk this year from Knock roads, via the city market to Minorit Square.
