During the summer, Ljubljana will be marked by art, the essential medium of which is light - light installations prepared by artists as part of the International Light Guerrilla Festival 2019 will be exhibited at various venues around the city. How they tackled the theme of "BORDER" seen in galleries and on the streets of the city center and outskirts of Ljubljana.
International Light Guerrilla Festival 2019 will also 'bring' this year a lot of light to the city of Ljubljana - light installations, projections and exhibitions will mark the city center and some other areas for a month. And the selected artists will tackle the question THE BORDER (borders).
The festival will start with opening of the group exhibition in the Vžigalica gallery and a series of outdoor projects in its immediate vicinity. The exhibitions will be opened after Ljubljana and its outskirts. The month-long event will end in the Light Park near Gradaščica in Trnovo, where they will be discovered a new permanent light sculpture by artists Meta Grgurevič and Jaše. This year too, there are expected to be a row other activities, about which they write on their website.
The organizers want to create again this year a different image of the city, bringing contemporary art closer to a wider audience and showing what role does art play in everyday life!
