Between August 27 and 29, the third Slovenian edition of the K3 International Short Film Festival will take place between the hall of the Slovenske Kinoteka and the Metelkova museum platform.
We will be able to attend at the end of August of the K3 International Short Film Festival. The festival is traditionally characterized by neighborly ties with exhibitions in Austria and Italy, which enables the selected short films and their authors to penetrate into a wider international context and at the same time compete for a regional award. 3×3. Ljubljana edition this year, the festival will offer two competitive sets of outstanding products. The best three will compete at the final K3 festival in Beljak in September.
At K3, we will also be able to watch a retrospective of cult short documentaries by a Croatian author who passed away last year Krst Papić, who, since the 1960s, has consistently tested the limits of the patience of current political systems and insightfully questioned social reality in his films.
It will also be displayed a strawberry selection of winning K3 films, which in recent years have been celebrated in the international competition part of the festival, and in the column of guest programs this year, a young Austrian film will demand our attention. On the 10th anniversary of the distribution, the overlooked one will also spin again Desperado Tonic, a film with cult potential, and Three contributions to Slovenian frenzy.
Projections will be distributed between the halls Slovenian cinemas and museum platform Metelkova, where we will also have a pleasant evening gathering under the starry sky, accompanying events in the form of round tables on the topic of short film perspectives in our country and other film/musical accompanying events.
