Timotej Lampe Ignjić is the only Slovenian professional skater. Skateboarding is his passion and profession, which he combines with world-class achievements. We talked to him about the lifestyle that comes with being a professional skater, about the 'gadgets' that accompany him on his travels, and his plans for the future...
You recently became an Honor brand ambassador. Which of their products rests in your right pocket?
That's right, I have a new one in my pocket HONOR 8 in black.
The most important feature of a smartphone is…
Definitely a good camera and a battery that lasts all day. I think these two are the most important, especially when I'm traveling. Of course, the fact that you practically don't need a classic camera anymore is also great. The Honor 8 takes really good photos.
You spend half the year traveling and abroad... You can list your favorite apps on your phone that you use daily to communicate remotely with your loved ones.
I more or less use Facebook, Instagram, email, Skype and Viber.
What do you think about electric skates?
I haven't tried it yet, but it looks like fun.
If I could only take one thing on vacation. Would you choose a laptop, a phone or a skateboard?
It's hard to choose between the skate and the phone, since both are always with me, but considering that it's a vacation, I'd take the Honor phone with me.
Music is an important part of skater culture. What's 'rolling' on your phone right now?
Kygot and Drake playlists are currently playing on my phone.
Do you listen to it wirelessly or wired, or what kind of headphones do you use?
I'm currently using wireless headphones.

Your next big sporting challenge or dream?
The best possible ranking in the World Cup tour in the next season 2017 and of course OI Tokyo 2020.
The first association for 2020 and how it looks with OI?
No one has the exact information yet, but in all probability we will have to reach the norm through the World Cup competitions and thus qualify for the OI.
How does being trusted by such a big brand like Honor affect your career?
I am very happy to be part of the Honor family, it definitely has a very good effect on me and my career and gives me additional motivation to progress.
Your motivational line?
"Nothing good comes easy."
How important is passion in everything you do?
Passion is a huge part of what I do, if you don't have passion for what you do, it shows very quickly in projects, results, etc.
Short advice to all young skaters who are just embarking on a similar life path.
Follow your dreams, do your best and surely all the effort will pay off.
