An invisible skyscraper built from LCD screens

THE INFINITY TOWER – THE INVISIBLE SKYSCRAPER

The construction of skyscrapers always exceeds the limits and represents the might of architecture. South Korea chose a different approach. They will build an "invisible" skyscraper on the outskirts of Seoul.

At GDS Architects have imagined an "invisible cloak" consisting of large LED screens that will project an image from the background. This will be ensured by cameras at three different heights, which, through the digital process of image processing, will ensure a realistic display of the panorama in 1,500 types of screens. It will also be possible to switch off screens or brightness adjustment, but thanks to the special crystal glass, it will retain its transparency. "The Infinity Tower" will be primarily intended for entertainment and spending free time. There will also be a water park, movie theaters, restaurants with incredible views, and elevators that will stop at different heights and show realistic views of different world landmarks at that height on special screens. At 450 meters high, it won't break any height records, but it will have the third-highest observation deck.

With this project, South Korea wants to increase tourism and showcase its technology to the world. The project was supported by the leading state-owned company Korea Land & Housing Corporation.
