At the Caravan Fair in Düsseldorf, Iveco impressed with the new Iveco Daily Switch 4x4 concept, a vehicle that combines work capacity and off-road adventures. With its flexible interior, it allows you to combine work and leisure time in one vehicle.
When we talk about leisure vehicles, we always look forward to solutions that are bold, innovative and a step away from what the big manufacturers offer. This time, Iveco surprised with a model Iveco Daily Switch 4×4, which premiered at the fair in Düsseldorf. This concept is not completely new, but with its maximum modularity and imaginative design it offers a new perspective on what it means to have a travel van.
Room for everyone: flexible interior tailored to the user
Iveco Daily Switch 4×4 it is truly a "blank canvas" - its interior is flexible to the extent that customers can "build" the van themselves according to their wishes. Thanks to the open design and built-in floor rails, users can add or remove modules such as bedroom, kitchen or storage. Thus, the van can be used for professional tasks during the week, while on weekends or on vacation it can be quickly transformed into a perfect camping vehicle.
The exterior is minimalistic and not overly prominent. The only major aesthetic interventions are the raised chassis, specific off-road tires and robust plastic guards around the wheels. But it's not all about the exterior - the combination of performance and modular interior made this vehicle one of the most popular attractions at the fair.
At home in nature: comfort and performance for demanding terrains
Iveco Daily Switch 4×4 is equipped with a modular system that allows the installation of various living functions. In cooperation with the company Hünerkopf, which specializes in accessories for motorhomes, Iveco has provided everything necessary for a comfortable stay. They installed insulated walls and floors, two sliding side windows, swivel seats in the cabin, diesel heating and an electric package with 130 Ah AGM battery, chargers, converters and sockets for 12/230 V and USB connections.
In addition, it is possible to install a movable partition that separates the cabin from the cargo area, which further protects the driver and passengers. Practicality is combined with off-road performance, as the Iveco Daily Switch 4×4 offers three differential locks and a reduction, making it easy to cope with the most demanding terrains.
Engine power and price: daily work partner and weekend adventurer
Under the hood hides a powerful 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine with an output of 173 hp (127 kW), which provides enough power for any terrain. This engine is combined with 4×4 system, which includes off-road tires 265/70 R19, raised undercarriage and robust frame, proves itself even on more demanding terrains.
Pricing for the base model 4×2 Iveco Daily Switch starts at €76,990 (around £64,000), while the 4×4 roof tent version, as unveiled at the show, costs 138.111 € (115.000 £). Additional camping and work modules are available separately, so you can fully customize the vehicle to your needs.
Conclusion: Iveco Daily Switch 4×4 it's not just a vehicle – it's a tool for anyone who wants to combine everyday functionality and adventure in one package. Although it may be on first glance of the basic appearance, offers a wide range of features and customizations to meet everything from business to adventure needs. The price may not be the lowest, but this van, designed with ruggedness, practicality and comfort in mind, is worth every penny for those who dream of life on the road without limits.
