Andraž Hribar will present himself with a special program at the Jazz Club at the Ljubljana Castle. Accompanied by a jazz band, in addition to his own compositions, he will also sing and play hits from the rich American treasury of soul, RnB and funk.
Andraž Hribar studied music at a junior and high school of music (at the latter in the jazz department). He presented himself to the general public as a solo performer for the first time at Slovenska popevka 1998 (he secured an appearance on it by winning one of the Orion shows) with a song Don't cry, darling. He took second place and received award for the best debutant.
He celebrated on Popevka 15 years later with a song What does this day smell like?. He participated in the Emmys five times. The closest he came to winning was on his first attempt in 2001, when he came second with a song It's life. At the chanson festival in 2001, he won with the composition Cigarette award for the best performer.
In 2017, he performed at the Days of Slovenian Music with the song Huanani and won third place. His most famous compositions are Spring, Ring of fire, When you are here, My my, Between us and What are you doing to me?. He mostly writes the music and lyrics for his songs himself. In 2013, he received a plaque from the Municipality of Kočevje for "long-term success and exceptional achievements of national importance in the field of promoting his hometown through the prism of culture and music".
