On Thursday, March 18, 2010, we celebrate the 3rd anniversary of the Jazz Ravne program! Who to invite to such a special day, if not the best - Mia Žnidarič.
Be it on CD or on stage, her voice seduces, ponders, plays, swings; it sparkles above the musical accompaniment and infects the listener with a whole range of emotions. Which is definitely the result of many years of effort, life experiences and possibly some lucky coincidence. All this helped the girl from Ruš on her way, even after establishing herself in the Slovenian music scene, perhaps not so fond of jazz, time and time again she saw evidence and encouragement to persist in the right direction: collaborations with Jožet Privšek, Dušan Velkaverh, RTV Slovenija Big Band, Janez Gregorec and last but not least with Prekmurje poet Feri Lainšček and American composer Steve Klink. With the latter, Mia's last album Nevidni orkester was also created, on which, as before on the famous Pobarvanka, the images of the nature of Feri's Pannonian plain were lightly caught with a kindred spirit in Steve's musical perception of the vast heart of America and lay on the keys of his piano, David Jarh's trumpet and the double bass of Milan Nikolič, who will also accompany Mia live this time.
