If “thank you for your service” isn’t enough, there’s the Jeep Wrangler Commando 392 by FOX: half monument, half desert racer, fully prepared for sand, rocks, and applause. And yes – almost impossible to buy.

While other brands only share tweets on Veterans Day, FOX Factory Vehicles and Jeep create something interesting: a limited edition Jeep Wrangler Commando 392 by FOX. That is Wrangler, intended for veterans and active military personnel, with 249 copies for them via registration and one for a charity auction to benefit the USO. As if to say: “Thanks for your service – here’s a beast that conquers any terrain, and a Porsche at the traffic light.”

Who can buy it and how much does it cost?

Base price: 60,475 euros ($69,995) – cheaper than standard Rubicon 392 at 86,910 euros ($100,590). But beware: some see this as full price, others as an extra charge over the base model, which can push the final bill over 86,000 euros. Ordering is done through an application with FOX, in collaboration with Jeep dealers. One example is being auctioned for charity - ideal for those who want to buy a car and become a hero at the same time.

Power under the hood: HEMI V8 with optional turbo

The heart is a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 with 470 hp (350 kW) and 637 Nm of torque. For extra madness, add a Whipple supercharger for €9,932 ($11,495) and you get 705 hp (525 kW) and 888 Nm. The eight-speed automatic and 4×4 remain, but the optional €2,933 ($3,395) Magnaflow exhaust will make your neighbor call the police. It's like giving the Wrangler a rocket engine - legally, of course.

Chassis and off-road capabilities

FOX brings the racing tech: 89mm of JKS suspension lift and FOX 3.0 shocks with bypass and reservoirs for a smooth ride over dunes. Add an ATS stabilizer for better handling. This isn't just a Wrangler - it's a magic carpet over rocky terrain that lets you enjoy yourself instead of fearing for your teeth.

Wheels, bumpers and accessories Standard: 37.5-inch Nitto Ridge Grappler tires on 17-inch beadlock wheels in white. Up front, a steel Mopar bumper with LED lights, an optional Warn winch for €2,933 ($3,395). Parked, it looks like a soldier on leave—mud is its favorite perfume.

Exterior design: Military chic without compromise

'41 Olive Green paint for the Jeep Wrangler Commando 392 by FOX, tubular doors and high fenders for big tires. Canvas Bestop Bimini instead of roof, spare tire inside on a rack. Like a Jeep Safari concept, only you can actually buy it – no “just for show” excuses. (Source: hiconsumption.com)

Interior: Tactical and comfortable

Tan leather with “Commando” embroidery, a gadget rail and a digital rearview mirror – ideal without a roof. Five seats for the crew, an analogue soul with just enough digital not to spoil the fun.

Performance in numbers Reference from Rubicon 392: 0–97 km/h in 4.5 s (tests even 4.0 s), quarter mile in 12.9 s, max 179 km/h. Commando with bigger tires is a bit slower, but with Whipple? Smiles from ear to ear.

How to get yours and warranty? Veterans or active duty military: apply with FOX Factory Vehicles. Vehicle goes through authorized dealers, retains Jeep warranty (3 years/58,000 km base, 5 years/97,000 km powertrain). Turn-key solution, not a DIY nightmare.

Below the line: The Commando 392 is more than a car – it’s a tribute to muscle. Would you drive it around town or just in the mud? Share your thoughts in the comments or on social media!
