Jürgen Lingl-Rebetez is an artist with a chainsaw. A chainsaw sculptor to be exact. His wooden creations are so precise and lifelike that one cannot believe that they were created with such crude and rough tools.
German Jürgen Lingl-Rebetez engaged in manufacturing wooden sculptures. But while classical carvers take for chisels and blades, he for chainsaw with special carving swords.

He trained as a motorcycle mechanic woodcarving apprenticeship under Hans-Joachim Seitfudem when he experimented with a chainsaw during breaks instead of standard carving tools. Everything else is history. Today is Lingl-Rebetez world famous for his craft and life art of animals. Also in Slovenia we have quite a few chainsaw wielding masters, and not only among foresters, as some also use a motorcycle artists, who gathered for the fourth time this year Chainsaw Sculptors Festival, but there is also society.
