Kia Futuron: spaceship for the road

When you think of cars that could be at home in space, you probably don't think of Kia. But that will certainly change with the Futuron concept.

The name Futuron alone can tell us that it is a vision of electric and autonomous driving by Kia designers. Kia NLP served as inspiration for Futuron, which is very noticeable.

The interior of the concept is extremely spacious and intended more for "living" than driving, which is already quite standard in concepts today. You will also see in the photos lots of glass surfaces, which of course mean a lot of natural light. The diamond-shaped glass roof with a 360-degree view is the most reminiscent of a UFO. Among other things, it also includes LIDAR sensors (detection and measurement of light), which enable autonomous driving characteristics of the fourth level, i.e. hands-free driving and driving without looking at the road in controlled circumstances.

Futuron it is said to be a sports car that sits on an SUV platform. Although Kia does not go into details and specifications, we were able to learn that the concept car is around 4.8 meters and only 1.5 meters tall. Futuron is, more than obviously, a window into Kia's electric future.
