The Swedes unveiled the Koenigsegg Regera hypercar at the Geneva Motor Show, which stands out from the supercars in terms of performance, drive, and price. Slovenians also participated in the development, as Akrapovič took care of the ultimate exhaust. Under the line, the Regera is capable of 1,822 hp and speeds of over 400 km/h, and the acceleration to 100 km/h should take about as long as it takes us to blink.
Regera (the word in Swedish means to rule) thus not only overshadowed its sister agero RS, but also all the other hyper cars at the showroom. Namely because of the hybrid drive which can do together a barely believable 1,340 kilowatts or 1,822 hp. At the same time, classic petrol V8 develops a power of 809 kW or 1,100 hp, to make the car even more "bumpy", but they are still here three electric motors (two on the rear wheels, one on the drive shaft), which add another 515 kW or 700 hp. The surplus is also represented by batteries developed in cooperation with the Croatian company Rimac. Monstrous batteries weighing 115 kilos hold their own 9.27 kWh of energy and are packed in a 67-liter package. Put everything on the scale and "weigh", read and write, 1,600 kilograms, the Regera can cover distances of up to 50 km on electricity alone.
The special features do not end there. One of the biggest is the fact that Regera at all does not have a gearbox, but the power transmission is ensured by a patented direct transmission system. As for what this means, the Swedes are very secretive. They only say that the system weighs 88 kilograms and that it is not a CVT automatic.

In terms of design, the car is designed to create as much contact with the ground as possible, even at high speeds, and the shape is designed in the form of a drop, so that it cuts the air as well as possible. There is an inscription on the back Akrapovic, which reveals that the company from Ivančna Gorica took care of the exhaust and the engine melody it creates titanium exhaust system in the shape of a herringbone. The special feature is the fact that the central part (which looks like an exhaust) is intended for exhausting hot air, and on the sides there are actual exhausts, which allow the gases to travel the fastest way from the engine and additional performance and an even better tune.
Regarding the performance, the Swedes are still quite secretive for now and have not revealed the final speed of the ultra sportsman, but they say that it is the fastest production car in history, which they intend to prove on the track soon. They proposed two significant data namely, yes from 0 – 400 km/h accelerates to everything 20 seconds, acceleration from 150 to 250 km/h takes only 3.2 seconds. When asked about the price, the Swedes, just as meaningfully, say... around two million euros. But they will probably produce only 80 copies and the line should already be formed and quite long.
