Konstantin Chaykin sets new standards: the ThinKing ultra-thin mechanical watch with a thickness of only 1.65 mm

Konstantin Chaykin, a renowned independent watchmaker from Moscow, has once again shocked the world of horology with his latest masterpiece – an ultra-thin mechanical watch measuring just 1.65 mm in thickness. With this achievement, Chaykin set a new record, surpassing the established giants of the industry and proving that innovation is not limited to big names.

Hour ThinKing it is not only a technological miracle, but also an aesthetic pleasure. The watch case, made of special stainless steel, measures 40 mm in diameter and weighs only 13.3 grams without the strap. Despite its ultra-slim design, the watch provides incredible strength, which is achieved with the help of two ultra-thin sapphire crystals measuring just 0.35 mm in thickness.

The heart of the watch ThinKing is an ultra-thin caliber K.23-0 movement that Konstantin Chaykin completely designed and built by myself. Consisting of 204 parts and 51 jewels, this movement features a double pendulum with a patented clutch, a Swiss lever escapement and an oscillation frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour. The power of the watch is provided by a thin spring barrel that allows up to 32 hours of operation, which is almost unimaginable for watches of this thickness.

Innovative strap and outer casing

Chaykin's attention to detail is also evident in the strap, which is made of black alligator leather. The strap is not only aesthetically perfect, but also technologically advanced - it contains elastic inserts and flexible titanium brackets that ensure comfort and durability. The watch is also equipped with an innovative outer casing called PalanKing, which serves as a protective cover and at the same time enables automatic winding and time setting.
