The village of Rožna dolina near Nova Gorica, where it is green and blooming all year round, is known by many gourmets from Slovenia, Europe and beyond solely because of Gasparin's. They are devoted to genuine the taste of the Mediterranean and seasonal ingredients from the Vipava Valley, Brda and the nearby Adriatic Sea. Father Boris is one of the most experienced Slovenian sommeliers and a member of the European Order of the Knights of Wine. Mother Maruška and her son Tadej are the driving force behind the restaurant, which is a member of the prestigious Association of Young European Restaurateurs (JRE, Jeunes Restaurateurs d'Europe). The restaurant has made money with its culinary creations Michelin plate. Both sons Tadej and Taras continue the wine story of their father and grandfather Silveri under the Silveri brand. Three generations of the family have been growing and perfecting themselves with Pikol for 40 years.
