The Lamborghini brand is known for its exceptional super sports cars, which are the wet dreams of all lovers of petrol fumes. But from now on, we will also know it by the brand that started the segment, as they say at Lamborghini, of "super sports SUVs". The Lamborghini Urus is the SUV from hell. The numbers he can serve are... Ulala!
The long wait is over. Lamborghinis lifted the veil and showed us the long-awaited Urus SUV concept. And as expected, we're excited about it! The story is not fresh, as it is about this type of Lamborghini SUV "dream" since 2012 when they first showed a concept that foreshadowed the Urus. But they are a concept at the time, named "Rambo Lambo", upgraded and in today's form is even more aggressive.
"Monster" powered by a 4-liter biturbo engine with 8 cylinders that squeezes out of itself 650 horsepower (484 KW) and has 850 NM of torque. The power is transferred to the road with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission and, of course, as befits an SUV, in 4 x 4 mode. This allows the Lamborghini Urus to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.59 seconds and the final velocity of approx 300 km/h.
But the Urus is not quite self-contained. As befits the automotive industry, is a platform called MLB borrowed from many more refined than himself; thus it shares genes with Bentley's Bentayga, Audi's Q7 and Porsche's Cayenne. But we can still expect our own character. This is evidenced by the fact that it will be the lightest of all, as it will weigh just over two tons in its imposing appearance. Even more impressive is the fact that it will have the largest brakes in the world. The reels are said to measure as much as 17.3 inches. It will be equipped with 22-inch tires. Which is huge!
Inside, the story is just as interesting as the exterior with all the elements we know or can buy from other Lamborghini vehicles. Thus, there is the legendary red start button, which is similar to the start buttons in the aviation industry. All so and in a style that will be existing customers Huracan and other "Lambots" felt extremely at home.
The Urus will be built at Lamborghini's Sant'Agata Bolognese plant in Italy. The first examples will be available at the end of 2018. Prices will start at approx 200,000 euros and thus they hope to be able to convince them on an annual basis at least 3,500 customers. At Lamborghini, of course, they also make predictions hybrid version, which will hit the market at the end of 2019.
