For 2024, Land Rover has partnered with Surf Lodge, a prestigious hotel and restaurant on the sandy shores of Montauk, New York, and has chosen the Defender as the official vehicle of the summer season. The 'Beach Break' Edition is the result of this collaboration, designed as a tribute to the sun, sand and waves associated with American surf culture.
Basic specifications
The 'Beach Break' Edition is based on the Defender 110 platform and is equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 221 kW (296 hp) of power and 400 Nm of torque. The vehicle also retains Land Rover's Terrain Response system with a special mode for sand and the ability to drive through water up to a depth of 90 cm. In addition to performance, the 'Beach Break' Edition comes with various visual upgrades that set the vehicle apart from the standard model.

Visual upgrades and aesthetics
One of the main features of this special edition is the distinctive Tasman Blue finish, complemented by a white roof section and white wheels. The doors of the vehicle are decorated with exclusive red and orange graphic elements, and the rear part is equipped with a “Beach Break 1/20” badge, indicating an extremely limited series. Although the rims look like steel, they are actually made of aluminum and shod with off-road tires, which enables the vehicle to drive reliably even on sand dunes.
Additional equipment and interior
The interior of the 'Beach Break' Edition uses a combination of Light Cloud & Lunar Resist seats that are sand and water resistant. Upgrades also include rubber floor mats, a premium Meridian Sound System and two screens, an 11.4-inch central touchscreen and a 12.3-inch screen in front of the driver. In addition, the vehicle also includes accessories such as a side rack for equipment, black fixed side steps and cross bars.
Exclusivity and price
Production of the Land Rover Defender 'Beach Break' Edition is limited to just 20 examples, further emphasizing the exclusivity of this special edition. All vehicles are intended exclusively for the American market, and the starting price is 71,700 dollars (about 67,000 euros), which includes standard equipment, which is otherwise available as an additional upgrade. Prices are for the US market, where a limited version will be available.
