Land rover discovery sport – a completely new dimension of sporty terrain

Before today's premiere of the successor to the freelander model, Land Rover published the first photos and announced that it will now be called discovery sport. A choice of advanced engines, with emissions from 119 g onwards, versions with two- and four-wheel drive and plenty of advanced technology. The Audi Q5 and BMW X3 competitor will hit the showrooms in early 2015.

The Discovery sport will replace the aging Freelander in the model range of this English off-road expert, and a seven-seat version will also be available.

In terms of design, it will lean to a good extent on models from the range rover range, that is, the evoque and range rover models, which means much more angular features and a performance image, and in terms of design, it works like a kind of inflated (read: enlarged) evoque.

The premiere Discovery Sport will be available to the public in a month at the salon in Paris, while it will sales started in certain markets starting next year, but it is not known whether this also applies to the Slovenian market.

When it comes to the market, it will mean competition above all Audi Q5 and BMW X3, with which it will be able to compete both in terms of equipment and advanced technology, and last but not least, we can expect the same in terms of price.

The engine range will be assembled last generation Jaguar - Land Rovers engines, which will be added to the range gradually, and the most economical diesel version in combination with two-wheel drive will release into the atmosphere on average only 119 grams of CO2 emissions per km.

The passenger cabin, just like the exterior, will be a mixture of touches from already known models of this brand, there will also be some new design matters and switches, and the equipment will include most of the assistance systems known today and very powerful four-wheel drive, with many modes of operation.
