On Friday, May 1, 2020, the vigil will be held in cooperation with the programs of Radio Slovenia and Television Slovenia, where they will play orchestral music. From their windows, balconies and courtyards, musicians and musicians will also join the recording, who will make sure that the music will be heard far and wide.
Budnica will be co-created by musicians together with RTV Slovenija and listeners, who are invited to listen or join the performance from their homes.
At 5:00 a.m Boris Selko, president of the Association of Slovenian Bands, will address and greet the musicians and all listeners on the First Program of Radio Slovenia. At 6:00 a.mo on frequencies Wave 202 selected music will be played on recordings made in quarantine by the Medvode Band, the Vevče Paper Wind Orchestra and the Cerknica Band according to the attached sheet music: Drago Lorbek: Slovenci, Mojmir Sepe, arr. Mitja Dragolič: Dancing Earth and Vinko Štrucl: Golden Horn.
The organizers of the radio vigil invite all musicians to pick up their instruments, open the windows, step onto the balcony or yard, tune the radios to a higher volume and join the music that will be broadcast on the radio waves.
Join the May Day Vigil!At 6:40 a.m the vigil will also sound on TV Slovenija 1, where two compositions recorded at the Musica creativa 2015 workshops organized by JSKD will be broadcast: Tomaž Habe: Popotnik and Vinko Štrucl: Zlatorog, which will conclude this year's special May Day vigil.
