Collaborations between car brands and brands that in most cases deal with the sale of fashion accessories is already a well-established practice. In most cases, it concerns clothes, footwear and wristwatches, but every now and then we also witness some more unusual product, such as a heated men's razor, under which Bugatti signed. This time we present you another ʺunusualʺ combination between Lexus and the renowned musical instrument manufacturer Fender.
The fruit of this collaboration is an electric guitar Fender Lexus LC Stratocaster, built in the Fender Custom Shop under the watchful eye of master guitar builder Ron Thorne. The inspiration for the electric guitar was, of course, the prestigious beauty Lexus LC. And what makes the Fender Lexus LC Stratocaster different from other electric guitars? The biggest feature is definitely so called ʺstructurally orientedʺ blue color, which doesn't really contain any blue material, but was developed for 15 years. According to Lexus, the color merely appears blue, due to the play of light that spills over layers of colorless material.
The same color as the guitar was also used on the limited edition car Lexus LC Inspiration Series. The ``neck'' of the guitar is made of polished industrial laminate, and its inlays glow vivid blue in the dark. The pickguard is made of densely woven carbon fiber and matches the material used to make the Lexus rear air deflector.
The machined aluminum knobs match the knobs found on the products of the renowned audio brand Mark Levinson. Their audio systems are often installed in Lexus vehicles. Just as the Lexus LC Inspiration Series is limited to 100 examples, the Fender Lexus LC Stratocaster guitar is limited to 100 copies. It is packed in a unique case that is wrapped in carbon vinyl and leather, and of course the Lexus logo is not missing on the lid. This particular Fender guitar is expected to cost approx 6,000 US dollars.
