From November 13 to 24, 2019, Liffe will turn Ljubljana into the film capital for twelve days for the thirtieth time. It will show more than a hundred films, which will be accompanied by discussions with festival guests and filmmakers, as well as round tables and workshops.
Liffe is the largest Slovenian international film festival, comparable to larger ones of its kind in Europe, which brings to Ljubljana selected achievements of world cinematography and award winners of the most prominent festivals (Cannes, Rotterdam, Berlin, Amsterdam, Vienna, etc.). Every year, it attracts between 40,000 and 50,000 fans of good films and those who want to learn about and follow the world's film industry.
Directed by Benedikt Erlingsson, last year's watercress won the prize.
It is not yet known what he will surprise with Liffe 2019, but surely, at least in the retrospective segment, they will draw attention to some important cultural, social or political anniversary and turning point. Among other things, it is worth noting that at the 30th edition of the festival, it is expected that he will take part in the film screenings millionth visitor. Could it be you?
