A new sports incentive in autumn and spring brings 10 all-Slovenian tournaments in indoor soccer, united under the name Živjo, football. In the digital age of smart devices, football is still the leading sport that brings friends together to meet and combine the pleasant with the useful. Pivovarna Union is realizing its vision of encouraging sports and socializing with the new project, which is why every recreational sportsman or sportswoman can register for 10 indoor soccer tournaments across Slovenia. The winners of the tournament will be able to watch the 2017/2018 UEFA Champions League match live.
But before the recreational athletes embark on a football match, they must take care of a top-class breakfast of champions. They are in Union pubs prepared today Nejc Vidmar, a football player NK Olympia, and Alex Pihler, a football player NK Maribor.
While cooking, they remembered their beginnings: "We boys used every free afternoon to play football. I also like this sport for fun and good atmosphere liked it so much that I later decided to pursue a professional career,” he says Nejc. Also Alex he wishes that football would replace eating in front of computers: "Sport brings people together and I'm really happy that recreation is being promoted in this way as well. If I wasn't a professional athlete, I would gather 4 more friends and apply myself!"
Union Brewery has been supporting sports and athletes for many years. "This year, we also decided to support the First Slovenian Football League, and a logical question followed: why not offer a well-organized competition with all this professional activity? That's why we're bringing football back to where it basically belongs: on local playgrounds, between people, between young and old, where the game will not only have a recreational role, but also a connecting one," says Jernej Smisl, director of corporate relations.
In the autumn part, the tournaments will take place in five Slovenian cities, namely in Ljubljana (September 24, Fužine), I'm sorry (October 1, Trzin – Mlake Sports Park), Dill (October 15, Bonifika), Velenje (October 22, Cesta Simon Blatnik) and Novi Gorica (October 29, playground at the roundabout in Rožna dolina). Recreational athletes will be competing for a number of prizes - but because sport is about participating and not just winning, each team member will receive a t-shirt and a ticket to attend a TS First League match. Tournament organizer Union Brewery and partner Football Association of Slovenia they believe that the most desired prize is a ticket to watch a Champions League match UEFA Champions League 2017/2018 with transportation and accommodation. The latter will belong to the winning team of the final match Živjo, football, which will take place between the winners of the autumn and spring tournaments. The registration fee for a 5-member team is 30 euros.
